The non-partisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau (LFB) has compiled and posted its summary documents comparing the Governor’s proposed budget with the budget version adopted by the Joint Finance Committee (JFC). You can find the LFB’s comparative summary documents here, organized either separately by state agency or covering the full budget.
You can also find links to LFB documents — the full (all agencies) summary and the DPI only summary–on the WASB’s State Budget webpage, along with an updated version of the WASB Budget Chart reflecting the changes made by the JFC.
The WASB Budget Chart has been updated to detail the actions taken to date by the Joint Finance Committee (JFC) on K-12 education-related provisions in the proposed 2019-21 state budget. You can find the chart here.
For each budget item, the chart describes the proposal at each stage in the process and the dollar amounts attached to it. The WASB State Budget Chart is now posted online. The chart provides item-by-item details on the major provisions of the proposed 2019-21 state budget bill affecting preK-12 public education.
At this point, the chart describes the key budget proposals recommended by the governor and how they align with or differ from what was requested by the Department of Public Instruction.
The chart also indicates the WASB’s position on each budget provision. Those positions are based on the applicable WASB Resolutions Adopted by WASB Delegate Assemblies. Continue reading WASB Budget Chart Now Online
