As you may know, Wisconsin’s twelve Cooperative Educational Service Agencies (CESAs) are WASB members. In an effort to help CESA Purchasing, a statewide purchasing cooperative with offices in CESA 2, better serve school district needs and better communicate the benefits of its purchasing program, the WASB has been asked to share information with school leaders about CESA Purchasing and a survey they are conducting.
CESA Purchasing would like the opportunity to better serve your school district to help you meet your district goals. To do so, it is providing school leaders with an online (survey monkey) survey that will allow it to have a better understanding of your needs and how they can meet them. CESA Purchasing will also be conducting another survey with a small sample. Some of you may be contacted by UW-Whitewater student intern Kristin Hesselman.
On behalf of CESA Purchasing, we would greatly appreciate your participation in their general survey as well as the small sample interview survey if you are contacted. Thank you for your time and effort!

More About CESA Purchasing: CESA Purchasing is a statewide Wisconsin cooperative that works with local and national vendors to provide contracts to K-12 schools, libraries, technical colleges, universities, municipalities and other non-profit educational entities. All Wisconsin K-12 school districts and education entities are automatically members.
By combining purchasing power, schools and organizations can obtain substantial volume discounts on technology hardware, roofing and flooring, office supplies, and more. CESA Purchasing makes it easy for you to take advantage of discounts and deals already negotiated by CESA. CESA Purchasing is the statewide contract holder for AEPA, the Association of Educational Purchasing Agencies.
For more information on CESA Purchasing and how school districts are using it, please consult the May 2016 issue of The FOCUS (subscription and login required). That issue discusses cooperative purchasing of goods and services in detail.
The FOCUS is a comprehensive policy publication available to WASB member districts on a subscription basis. Each issue presents an in-depth analysis of one policy topic and includes legal and policy considerations, descriptions of policies and programs being implemented in Wisconsin school districts and sample policies.
